|
HARDWARE & SOFTWARE: LRC project in Darrang started from February, 2000 with the help of five (5) hired operators. The S/W was developed by NIC, HQ that runs under ORACLE RDBMS, playing on UNIX O/S. The H/W was a Pentium 100 MHz machine and seven (6) nos. of GIST (multi-lingual terminals). All the H/W and S/W was provided by NIC. In Aug, ’03, NIC, Darrang had modified the S/W to a large extent. In the year 2003 LRC system was equipped with a PIII server. In the mean time the ROR counter was made ready. But when data validation (see below) started, new problems had been surfaced. Faults in the present data structure were also observed. NIC, Darrang had wrote software to cope with these issues successfully. Therefore, we have modified the form (lrc.frm v1.05), developed another form for deletion (lrcdel.frm v1.01) and will also changed the data structure itself. Details of data structure changes DATA VALIDATION: Steps are taken for validation and correction of Data. ROR COUNTER: The RoR counter is the counter for public where they apply for copy of their jamabandis, and they should receive the same within an hour or so in computer generated form, signed duly by EAC/ADC, Rev. The RoR counter here is practically ready, and will be opened shortly. DATA SECURITY: The LRC database is a very precious resource, so two(2) copies of back-ups are maintained weekly in data cartridges by the mandals. The data cartridges are kept at NIC, Darrang’s custody. DATA ENTRY STATUS: The Jamabandi Data for the then Mangaldai sub-division is complete. Out of 700 villages, data is entered for 677 villages.
